I haven't tried it with Xcloud, but it helped with GeForce now, I had over 45ms of ping, and it was reduced to 34ms. Turn on battery saver, personally I didn't notice any difference, but it might help with overheating. Use a different browser, for me Edge works great, but I've seen people recommend Brave. I wouldn't recommend playing on an iPhone, the browser implementation has more input lag, and worse on mobile, making fast paced games not work great.
